July 10, 2024EuroVelo 7 - Day 2 Had a great breakfast buffet, they had a super cool cheese slicer that uses a screw to raise the cheese. Also at the buffet were shots of Jager but who does shots for breakfast, apparently the Danes? The shots of the scenery pretty much sum up the day of biking. Canopy of trees covering the road. Fields of wheat swaying in the breeze framed by rows of wild flowers. Farm houses with thatch roofs covered in moss. Light houses on the white cliffs of the shore line. We also passed by Vallø Castle. Found an air-bnb for $150 which is super nice, the waterfront is just a few mins walk away. We booked the BNB around 8am since we now have a good idea of how far we can bike each day, we can book our hotels further ahead. The BNB was an entire 1 bedroom apartment, so we were able to store our bikes inside. The owner was super nice, even offered to wash and dry out laundry! One of the nicest accommodations we had on the trip. We ended up just buying some naan bread and curry microwave dinners at the grocery store. |
