July 11, 2024Eurovelo 7 - Day 3 None of the restaurants near us open till 10am, so we hit the road early (7am). It rained on us a few times today, but just for a few minutes each time. I got a Danish flag sticker for my bike. We covered a lot of ground today, 63.6 miles, I think our legs are in shape now to pedal sun up to sun down. We're still following the EV7 route, which adds about 50% more miles vs. riding a straight line. Bike paths have been all pavement and super smooth so far. We took a bit of a detour into Stege which was a great little stop full of shops and restaurants. We stayed the night in Horreby, Denmark at Bellinge House, $113. Breakfast the next morning was amazing, with 10+ local cheeses, fresh baked bread, and berries foraged from their property. We were able to keep our bike in their garage. |
