July 16, 2024EuroVelo 7 - Day 8 We made it to Berlin!!! We actually arrived a day earlier than planned. In 8 days we biked Copenhagen to Berlin: 381 miles, 8,284 feet climbed, and 24,629 Calories burned! (3,079 Cal / day). Today we passed some beautiful fields of Sunflowers, and more amazing forest trails; though we're pretty sick of the forest by now. We stopped and toured Oranienburg Palace. As we got closer to Berlin, it was a welcome site seeing so many bakeries, and restaurants on our route. We'll spend the next 3 days checking out Berlin, maybe some biking, maybe explore Potsdam... We're staying at the Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz, around $145/night. |
