July 22, 2024Kattegattleden - Day 3 Started the day with another amazing breakfast buffet. The Scandic Hotels here are great! Halmstad Castle was across the street from our hotel, the castle was built in 1615. We started riding around 11am, and by 1pm it was pouring rain. Luckily we were across the street from a really nice cafe (Göstas Café och Restaurang) just as the rain started. We hung out here for at least an hour. We ate some glass and kaka (ice cream and cake) It rained hard till about 7pm, so for 6 hours we were completely soaked, and still managed to get in 57 miles. Another record was set, 9 pieces of pie/cake today! The hotel we're staying in tonight Varbergs Kusthotell is amazing ($280/night), and the buffet dinner too was amazing. Having a great time despite biking six hours in the wind and rain. |
