Adjust your monitor until you can distinguish between all shades of gray in the picture below.

Both after pictures recieved the same treatement. Level 9 of Fred Mirandas shadow recovery pro, and a second treatment at level 4. The shot was taken with a 1dmk2 at iso100.

For some reason the difference is huge on an LCD screen, and very subtle on a crt
