Rent is 575/month + utilities ($60-$100 per month). Included utilities are high speed internet (including wireless access) and expanded cable tv. The house has central air conditioning, heat and whole house fan; brand new front load washer, dryer and fireplace. In the backyard we have a bonfire pit and 8'x8' hot tub. The house was just insulated, and we keep it comfortable year round. The kitchen and bathrooms have been recently remodeled. I've always liked havng random roomies, so I try not to be too specific on what Im looking for, I'll just describe the roomies that have worked out best in the past. Ideally someone fresh out of school moving to California for the first time. Someone looking for adventure, and fun. Non-smokers (yes including pot) are prefered since nobody here smokes. Sorry no pets or children. Currently we are a house of two girls and two guys, ages from 26-30. One of the girls is moving out in December. The room for rent measures 9'x10', this is the biggest room besides the master bedroom. Full length closet doors were just installed. There are ethernet and cable jacks in each room, and we have wireless access. The house is 4 bedroom, 2 bath (1 bath shared w. 3 people). We are 3 miles from BART (SF is about 45 mins by BART, 30 mins by driving). Alot of my roomies have worked at the Livermore Lab and that is about 15 minutes away, rarely will you see traffic. A litle about me (Eric): Im 29, went to Chico state. I go mountain biking and scuba diving pretty frequently. I go swing dancing about twice a month, and every year I go backpacking over seas. Mostly though eastern europe, but this year my roomie and I did India and Thailand. I also have a side photography business LastNightPhoto.com A little about Aaron (Ninja as we call him): Graduate student at UCSB, his time is split between dublin and Santa Barbra. Works for a top secret agency doing research in electronic drug detection sensors. Writes frelance for Wired Magazine. The other two roomies are moving. |
