| Aug 27, 2025 Today we biked from our hotel in Grindelwald, to Zweilutshinen where we took a bus to Lauterbrunnen. We rented a locker at the Lauterbrunnen train station to store our panniers, then took the gondola to Grutschalp. From there we took a cograil train to Murren. Murren is a lovely town, we had visited once before, here are pics from 2018 and pics from 2021 if you're interested in more pics of the area. We biked from Murren, to Gimmelwald, to Lauterbrunnen, to Zweilutschinen, and all the way to Interlaken. This is a mountain bike trail (as noted by yellow signs instead of blue), and it is a bit technical at times, we had to get off our touring bikes and walk some of the steep down hill parts. Absolutely epic ride, starting in the alps and ending in the valley. In the Lauterbrunnen valley, we stopped by Trummelbach falls, but the line was long and it was raining. We also stopped for lunch at the restaurant in Camping Jungfrau, this also gave us a chance to warm up and dry off. We finished the ride at our excellent hotel in Interlaken ( Swiss Inn Interlaken ). |
