Tischer's Review of the Canon 28mm F1.8


The following crops were the farthest common point shared between the two lenses, the Sigma being 24mm, and Canon being 28mm. Some may argue that the Canon crop is at the edge of the frame, but this is a full frame lens on a 1.6 crop camera, I think this is a fair comparison.

My sharpness rating is based soley on file size. A rating of 91 means the file size is 91Kb. Don't laugh, it seems to work!

It's pretty obvious both zoom lenses are much sharper then the Canon 28mm prime, so I decided not to keep it. The ammount of CA is unacceptable.
